Welcome. I’m Kathrin — thinking partner for women who have built the right life on paper and are quietly wondering if there’s something truer waiting for them.
I do not think of this season as a crisis. I think of it as a remembering. It is the point where the life you built and the woman you actually are stop quite matching, and something in you begins asking for more honesty. That is not a sign that something has gone wrong. It is a sign that something is waking up.
For almost three decades, I lived and worked across three continents, in two languages, building a life that looked impressive from the outside and felt increasingly wrong on the inside. I have burned out, lost people I loved, and started over from almost nothing more than once. I know what it is to lose your way. I also know what it is to find something truer on the other side.
At some point, the need to build a life that actually mattered to me grew louder than ambition or achievement ever had. It was not restlessness. It was a calling. If you are reading this, I suspect you already know the feeling.
Here is what I have come to believe. You have not lost yourself. You were buried, not destroyed. The clarity and the direction you are looking for are already inside you. They have simply been waiting for enough quiet to be heard.
So I do not hand you a plan, and I will never tell you who to be. What I offer is rarer, and I think more useful: a space where your own thinking can finally breathe, and the kind of questions that help you hear what you already know.
It begins with words. Each week, I write a letter called The Rising for women who feel the pull toward something deeper. Honest writing, no noise, no hustle. It is free to read and free to share, and it is the simplest place to begin.
With love from the Bavarian Alps, Kathrin
